ARTIST BIO
Jazzee Rozier is a 21 year old Senior attending the Cleveland Institute of Art and expects to obtain their BFA in Drawing (2025). They are born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and use their livelihood and daily surroundings to tell their story of being black and being queer. Their general work focus revolves around a prominent use of ballpoint pen or ink along with various types of color materials to emphasize their attention to collage and mixed media assignments. Aside from drawing, Jazzee also experiments with various different media ranging from photography and collage to sculpture, design, and printmaking. Sticking to one solid form to express themselves just isn’t on brand for their practice and they hope that there is room to depict such spontaneity and mixed media in their projects to follow what they’ve already been practicing.
